Job summary

Friedman's Home Improvement in Petaluma, CA is seeking a Part Time Team Member to assist customers in-store and over the phone. The role includes answering questions, guiding customers to the right departments, and maintaining product knowledge.

This non-exempt position offers hourly pay of $18.47 to $22.91, with benefits like employee discount, store bonus eligibility, tuition reimbursement, and quarterly recognition. Hours are based on store needs, Sundays through Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of retail experience preferred.
• Experience qualifying customer needs and handling customer situations.
• Strong knowledge of technology and ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Answer customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
• Service all customers in your area or phone inquiries in a courteous manner.
• Constantly upgrade product knowledge in your area and across store locations.
• Assist customers by guiding to the proper department and locating products.
• Basic computer skills to complete inquiries, quotes and orders.
• Determine customer needs and suggest related or substitute items.
• Sell and close sales on a project-oriented basis and present product data.
• Operate equipment as needed (pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, saws).
