Job summary

The role involves processing inquiries and orders via computer systems and assisting across departments. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma and at least one year in retail; strong tech literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ years of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Experience qualifying customer needs and handling customer situations.
• Strong knowledge of technology and ability to learn new systems.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Answers customer questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
• Serve all customers in area or handle phone inquiries accurately and courteously.
• Upgrade product knowledge in store and across locations.
• Assist customers by guiding to departments and finding products.
• Complete customer inquiries, quotes and orders with the computer system.
• Determine customer needs by finding products or suggesting substitutes.
• Sell and close sales on project-oriented items with product data and promotions.
• Service multiple customers in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, order pickers, saws as needed.
