Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate in State College, PA to deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop, and ensure a fast checkout. You will engage customers in the Rewards program and enrollments while supporting stock, returns, and store recovery to maintain an in-stock, well-merchandised store.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Lifting heavy boxes and reaching high shelves may be required.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the benefits of the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns and go-backs
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company policies; maintain professional conduct
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
