Job summary

Spring Footwear Corp. in Pompano Beach, FL seeks an experienced, hands-on retail leader to drive sales, profitability, and operations across about 15 Spring Step Shoes stores in multiple states. Travel ~50%.

You will coach Store Managers, diagnose underperforming locations, and partner with the VP Retail to shape strategic direction while building stronger teams. The role offers path to broader responsibility and emphasizes financial discipline, store execution, and customer experience.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of progressive retail leadership experience, 5 years managing multiple stores.
• Experience leading a geographically dispersed, multi-state store portfolio.
• Footwear, apparel, accessories, fashion, or specialty retail experience preferred.
• Demonstrated responsibility for store P&Ls, budgets, payroll, and operating expenses.
• Measurable success improving profitability or turning around stores.
• Strong recruiting, coaching, and leadership development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Retail Operations Manager and store leadership teams.
• Drive sales growth, profitability, and operating performance.
• Oversee store P&Ls, budgets, payroll, and expenses; manage turnover and staffing.
• Recommend openings, closures, relocations, and portfolio decisions.
• Spend time in stores coaching teams and improving execution.
• Maintain weekly and monthly performance reporting for leadership.
