Job summary

Spring Footwear Corp. seeks a hands-on Retail Field Training & Development Manager to partner with Retail Operations, coach Store Managers and sales teams, and drive consistent customer experiences across multiple locations.

You will play a key role in new store openings, relocations, and closings, ensuring teams are staffed, trained, merchandised, and operationally ready. This role requires travel to Spring Step Shoes locations and a passion for developing people.

Qualifications

• Strong retail leadership experience.
• Experience training, coaching, and developing Store Managers and retail teams.
• Deep understanding of retail KPIs: conversion, ATV, UPT, comp sales and labor productivity.
• Experience supporting new store openings or relocations is highly preferred.
• Ability to translate performance gaps into practical coaching plans.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and oversee training programs for Store Managers, Assistant Managers and Sales Associates.
• Lead onboarding and training for new hires and managers.
• Create SOPs, training materials, job aids, checklists, and resources for consistent store execution.
• Provide ongoing training in product knowledge, selling skills, customer experience, and retail operations.
• Coach Store Managers to develop their teams and enhance leadership capabilities.
• Identify development needs through store visits, KPIs, observations, and feedback.
• Support opening timelines, staffing, inventory, merchandising, systems and readiness for new stores.
