Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking an energetic General Manager in Training to join our Retail Management team. This full-time hourly role offers $24.50 per hour and a bonus potential up to $18,000 annually. The candidate will lead store operations, supervise staff, and deliver excellent customer service while upholding our values and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Three years of Retail, Warehouse, or Logistics management experience.
• A Valid MO or IL state driver's license and insurance are required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills include customer service, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
• Leadership skills include quality decision-making, goal-setting, and problem-solving, with the ability to motivate and lead employees and hold them accountable.
• Comfortable with workplace technology like registers, scheduling, and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations, resources, and budgets to meet goals.
• Model values to ensure safety, ethics, and quality.
• Supervise, direct, and train staff and ensure core functions are performed.
• Provide superior customer service to ensure donor, shopper and staff satisfaction.
• Coach employees on performance, including discipline up to termination.
• Assign daily duties to achieve operational tasks.
• Identify employees for advancement based on performance.
• Safeguard property and information; report theft or misconduct.
• Read and enforce all agency policies and values.
• Arrange replacements and approve payroll; audit processes.
• Eliminate wasteful practices through process improvements.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
• Complete Leadership Development Cohort Program.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Monthly bonus up to $500.00.
