Fleet Farm seeks a General Manager – Store Operations to lead and inspire store teams across multiple locations. You will drive operational excellence, profit optimization, and a superior customer experience through strategic staffing, merchandising, and process improvements.

The role requires strong leadership, a track record in big-box retail, and the ability to travel as needed to support growth and store development projects.

Qualifications

• At least 5+ years of Big Box management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and mentor staff.
• Strong understanding of retail operations and merchandising.
• Travel up to 75% including some nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Focus on the 5 Key Areas of Store Operations: Team Members, Customers, Store Readiness, Execution, and Profitability.
• Train, coach, and mentor the leadership team to ensure Best in Class execution.
• Oversee development plans for direct and indirect reports.
• Hire, train, develop, and manage performance of all Team Members.
• Continually monitor wage and expense budgets and take corrective action.
• Ensure policies, procedures, and guidelines are followed regarding customer service, safety, loss prevention, inventory management.
• Drive sales through superior merchandising and loyalty program promotion.
