Job summary

The Hometown Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Front-End Retail Manager to oversee daily operations of the retail department, partnering with pharmacy leadership to deliver excellent customer and patient experiences.

You will hire, train, coach, and develop front-end staff, manage inventory and displays, and lead efforts to improve profitability while maintaining a welcoming store environment. This role requires strong leadership and teamwork with pharmacy colleagues.

Qualifications

• 5th: 2-3 years of retail management or supervisory experience preferred
• Strong leadership, coaching, and development abilities
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Organizational and time-management abilities
• Customer-focused mindset and collaboration with retail and pharmacy teams
• Experience with merchandising and product presentation is a plus

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, coach, and develop front-end team members with a strong customer service focus
• Collaborate with pharmacists and pharmacy leadership to support daily store operations
• Foster front-end and pharmacy teamwork and communications
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback
• Manage front-end inventory, ordering, stocking, and product availability
• Oversee OTC, gift, seasonal, and retail merchandise
• Maintain an attractive store environment and engaging displays
• Set department sales goals and monitor sales, margins, inventory, and loss
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce loss
• Communicate initiatives and promotions to employees
• Manage payroll and assist with scheduling and labor management
• Maintain cash-handling procedures and accurate cash drawers
• Support social media presence and community involvement
• Ensure safety standards and Company policies
• Assist with receiving merchandise and transfers between locations
• Be a visible leader supporting customers and coworkers
