Job summary

Ollie’s is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to provide leadership for the front-end operations of the store. This role helps lead a retail sales team passionate about merchandise and delivering a good customer experience, with emphasis on associate development and service.

You will assist with payroll budgets, store standards, safety meetings, coaching, training, hiring, and onboarding while ensuring tasks are assigned and completed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years retail supervisory experience.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage in a professional work environment.
• Confidentiality and sound judgment.
• Knowledge of industry terms and processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Team Leader with payroll budgets, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and related reports.
• Maintain store standards, Redbook compliance, and company programs.
• Ensure front-end, entrance and exterior are maintained.
• Provide daily tasks and ensure Associates are productive.
• Support hiring, recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding to meet staffing needs.
• Perform Team Leader functions to open and close the store.
• Lead safety meetings and assess changes.
• Provide leadership on donation programs and Ollie’s Army.
• Any additional responsibilities as assigned.
