Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Hermiston, Oregon is seeking a Customer Service Associate II to help run daily store operations, from merchandising to assisting customers. You will be cross-trained to support the cash register and can switch to front-end duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.
• High level of integrity is required.
• Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with daily store operations including merchandising and front-end duties as needed.
• Receives merchandise, unloads trucks, and processes freight in a safe manner per productivity standards.
• Merchandises and stocks as needed and maintains store cleanliness, including restrooms and floors.
• Maintains a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders.
• Manages sales transactions while working assigned cash register and protects cash/assets.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
