Job summary

Meijer is seeking a store operations leader to oversee day-to-day activities across food and general merchandise. You will direct planograms, staffing, and training while driving profitability and customer satisfaction.

You will lead a diverse team, foster an inclusive culture, and partner with community initiatives to strengthen the Meijer brand. Prior retail/leadership experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of retail/grocery/operations management/customer service experience.
• 4+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• A passion to lead those in span of care while providing industry leading service.
• Demonstrates proactive/creative thinking and applies it to the business.

Responsibilities

• Oversees overall store operations across food and general merchandise.
• Manages planograms, seasonal resets, and endcaps.
• Engages team members and leadership to provide the best shopping experience.
• Drives talent development and culture in the store.
• Ensures staffing plans meet forecasted needs and recruits accordingly.
• Reviews financial results and implements strategies to improve profitability.
• Ensures customer needs are met and complaints are handled efficiently.
• Maintains Meijer merchandising standards and community engagement.
