Job summary

Lowe’s Associates are focused on delivering quality customer service in a clean, safe, and well-stocked store. The Sales Floor Department Supervisor leads a team to provide excellent service, coaching staff, and ensuring department coverage while handling customer interactions and store safety.

Responsibilities include training associates, delegating tasks, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly, and occasionally performing MOD duties.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years of retail experience or 5 years in retail.
• 1 year of customer service experience.
• 1 year supporting Pro customers (Pro Department Supervisor).
• Experience directing or supervising teams (with or without direct reports).
• Experience training/mentoring associates and working cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Coach and train associates, delegate tasks and monitor daily activities.
• Lead customer-facing activities and store safety practices to ensure a quality experience.
• Supervise associates across departments as needed to meet store demands.
• Occasionally open/close the store or serve as manager-on-duty (MOD).
• Travel to meetings or trainings as needed to support neighboring stores.
