America’s Thrift Stores is seeking a Retail Supervisor to manage daily operations of the front end and sales floor, ensuring friendly service and adherence to company standards. You will lead a rotating schedule, coach staff, and support store initiatives in a fast-paced thrift environment.

The role emphasizes auditing, quality control, and customer/donor satisfaction, with responsibilities across merchandising, displays, and loss prevention. Join a mission-driven team across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ supervisory experience in retail.
• Basic math skills and computer literacy required.
• Strong reading comprehension.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to observe, assess, and coach team members.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
• Strong judgment and decision-making abilities.
• Background check, motor vehicle check, and drug screening required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to work rotating schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise departmental team members.
• Assist with recruiting, selecting, training, and onboarding.
• Provide coaching, recognition, and performance feedback.
• Schedule staff according to labor needs.
• Oversee cash register operations for fast, accurate checkout.
• Manage inventory tracking and stock levels.
• Respond to customer and donor questions and concerns.
• Maintain store standards for merchandise and displays.
• Support store promotions and programs.
• Maintain a respectful, values-driven workplace.
• Ensure loss prevention and safety policies are followed.
