Rally House in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Retail Facilities Intern to support day-to-day operations and long-term maintenance across stores and corporate facilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage work orders by coordinating service requests and tracking repairs.

• Coordinate services for new store openings and push lists for opening readiness.

Job Description

The Retail Facilities Intern will support the day-to-day operations and long-term maintenance of Rally House retail locations and corporate facilities. This role will gain hands-on experience in work order management, vendor coordination, preventive maintenance, new store openings, compliance, and facilities-related financial processes. The intern will work cross-functionally with Facilities, Construction, vendors, and store teams to help ensure locations are safe, functional, and ready to support the customer experience. This role provides exposure to the full retail facilities lifecycle in a fast-paced, growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage work orders by coordinating service requests, tracking repairs, following up with vendors, and verifying completion
• Support preventive maintenance programs and develop recurring reports to track maintenance activity and performance
• Assist with vendor management, including bid comparisons, onboarding, compliance tracking, contract renewals, and vendor performance reviews
• Support new store openings by coordinating service providers (HVAC, window cleaning, etc.), tracking punch lists, and ensuring facilities are ready for opening day
• Assist with compliance and life-safety initiatives, including inspections, emergency preparedness, fire alarm monitoring, and safety documentation
• Support facilities financial processes, including invoice processing, budget tracking, maintenance spend analysis, and savings initiatives
• Assist with store support projects such as facility condition assessments and signage replacement programs

Skills and Knowledge

Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues, follow up on outstanding items, and help develop practical solutions, Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with an interest in data analysis, reporting, and process improvement, Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and ongoing projects

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work part-time in a Rally House store prior to starting the internship
• Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university and/or recent graduate with or pursuing a relevant degree (e.g. Construction Management, Operations, etc.)
• Available to work standard hours M-F at corporate office location in Lenexa, KS
• Demonstrated desire to build a long-term career with Rally House

Physical Requirements

• Ability to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and other standard office equipment
• Able to clearly view and read information on a computer screen
• Occasionally lift or move items up to 15 pounds
