Job Summary

The Manager of Retail and Events is responsible for organizing lead‑generating retail and consumer events in three markets: Philadelphia, New York, and New Jersey. This role includes identifying opportunities, developing scripts and collateral, managing staff hours and productivity, and scheduling events such as Home Shows and State Fairs. The manager interview, trains, coaches, and evaluates a team of visiting promoters at retail partners and events to generate quality appointments for the sales force.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Manage a team of promoters to generate leads for the sales force across retail partnerships and events.
• Oversee the execution and logistics of retail shows and exhibitions, including setup, break‑down, transportation of displays and promotional materials, and ensuring all scripts and literature are ready.
• Interview, hire, train, teach, coach, and evaluate promoters to achieve PJ Fitz company standards.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels to meet budget goals and collaborate with recruiting to secure required interviews.
• Develop promoters’ schedules with a minimum two‑week horizon to hit goals.
• Consistently visit promoters in retail and event spaces to coach, train, shadow, and inspect performance.

Work Schedule

Full Time, Monday‑Friday 8:000 AM‑4:30 PM (weekends during event season; off‑days change during event season).

Travel

50% travel. The office market is the home location (Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey). One week in each of the other two markets, two weeks in the home market. Subject to change during the Home Show season to meet business needs.

Compensation

Salary plus the potential of a monthly bonus.
