Job summary

2020 Companies, Inc. in Seattle is seeking a Retail Engagement Specialist to build retail partner relationships, increase program visibility, and support business growth across your territory. Field-based with daily travel; 22–35 store visits per day, in-store engagement, and administrative follow-up.

Independent work style with strong leadership support and training teams. Six months of sales/retail experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in the field

Qualifications

• Six (6) months prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based environment.
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage a daily route.

Responsibilities

• Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner.
• Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits.
• Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence.
• Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store.
• Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems.
• Partner with the client to train and advocate client products at the retailer.
• Drive merchant awareness within your assigned territory and advise merchants by providing information on products.
• Audit and record competitive products, promotions, merchandising, displays, and merchant feedback.
• Contribute to team effort by assisting in launch-related activities and events.
• Ensure feedback reporting is submitted in a timely manner.

Day‑to‑Day

Field‑based position with daily travel within your assigned territory, approximately 22–35 retail visits per day depending on geography and scheduling. Mix of in‑store engagement, driving, and administrative follow‑up. Independent work style with strong support from leadership and training teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Six (6) months prior sales, promotion, retail, or marketing experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable working independently in a field‑based environment.
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage a daily route.
• Adaptable, professional, and customer‑focused.
• Prior retail, sales, field marketing, or customer‑facing experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced, team environment.
• Maintain customer confidentiality.
• Reliable transportation within assigned territory.

Performance Measurements

• Meet or exceed quarterly visit goals.
• Meet or exceed weekly in‑store time goals.
• Visit multiple store locations on a daily and weekly basis.
• Effectively schedule store visits two weeks or more in advance.
• Effectively execute assigned activities inside each location during all visits.
• Effectively demonstrate an ability to establish and influence business relationships through merchant awareness, POP placement, and consistent productivity.
• Record and maintain appropriate documentation for each visit.
