Job summary

NAVY Exchange Service Command (NEXCOM) is seeking a Store Manager in Orlando, FL to develop and execute business strategies for assigned retail divisions to maximize store sales and opportunities. The role emphasizes merchandising, inventory management, staffing, and leadership within a Navy Exchange environment.

Responsibilities include optimizing in-store performance, coordinating with buyers for stock plans, training managers and sales associates, and reporting to the Store Manager/General

Qualifications

• Three years experience in merchandising, retail sales or related responsibilities.
• Ability to manage operations with mature judgment and effective stakeholder interaction.
• Education substitutions for experience allowed: one year of study equals 9 months of experience, up to a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maximize operational performance; develop sales and inventory projections and take corrective actions.
• Develop and implement store merchandising strategies and promotional programs with buyers.
• Benchmark practices by reviewing industry trends and competitor comparisons.
• Manage stock plans, seasonal buying, and new item introductions; ensure in-stock conditions.
• Provide training on selling, customer service, and product knowledge to staff.
• Supervise personnel and coordinate with regional staff and the Store Manager.
