Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store; helpful.
• Clear and precise direction to team members.
• Conflict resolution and root-cause analysis encouraged.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to analyze financial data to aid decisions.
• Leadership in a safety-focused environment.
• Mentor team members across hourly and SDIT roles.
• Completion of required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs.
• Disciplinary actions and recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicates the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and conversations.
• Mentors and coaches to exceed goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensures team is thoroughly trained in all aspects of their jobs.
• Spends majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
• Promotes a safe work environment; reliable attendance required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
