Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store team leader to plan, direct and supervise daily operations while delivering exceptional customer service. The role focuses on staffing, training, and coaching team members to meet sales goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will manage multiple tasks, analyze store metrics, and promote a safe, friendly shopping experience across departments, including deli, bakery, meat, and produce.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience preferred.
• Experience in various store areas (meat, bakery, produce, deli) is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in daily store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members; drive customer service and sales.
• Staffing, hiring, and ensuring proper training and safety practices.
• Handle P&L, store metrics, and shrink control; promote positive store image.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings and actions.
