Job summary

The SpartanNash family is seeking a Department Operations Supervisor for the Family Fare store in Charlevoix, MI. This role leads daily department activities, ensures staffing and training, and upholds company standards and KPIs across operations.

You will manage inventory, supervise stocking and production, handle scheduling and payroll considerations, and participate in daily huddles and district meetings as required.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• 2 years of retail experience preferred.
• 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication; basic bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of department operations to meet company standards and KPIs.
• Order and maintain inventory; ensure product freshness and quality.
• Review received orders for amount, quality, count, weight, and proper storage.
• Supervise stocking, production, and related tasks to ensure quality and timely execution.
• Manage schedules, labor, overtime, and payroll expenses for the department.
• Lead daily huddles and participate in meetings at various levels.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked department and follow food safety guidelines.
