Meijer in Michigan is seeking a store leadership professional to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor staff, drive customer service, and ensure store standards and profitability.

The role emphasizes staffing, training, and career development, with a focus on prime shopping hours, product presentation and safety. You will lead by example, promote Meijer's Friendly Initiative in team meetings, and strive to exceed sales targets.

Competenze

• High school diploma or its equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store (meat, bakery, produce, deli); helpful for broader understanding.
• Ability to communicate to team members with clear direction.
• Ability to resolve conflicts by addressing root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Mentor team members across SDITs, hourly staff and team leaders; ensure safety.
• Successful completion of required certifications.

Mansioni

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Serve as mentor and coach for all team members.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales while meeting customer needs and ensuring quick, efficient service.
• Maintain store appearance with emphasis on prime shopping hours, product presentation and company standards.
• Ensure staffing, selection and hiring meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by providing career paths and development opportunities; participate in promotions decisions.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and recommend discharge when needed.
• Be responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Communicate the Meijer Friendly Initiative in all team meetings and conversations.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed customer service and sales goals and uphold Meijer standards.
• Ensure teams are trained in all aspects of their jobs and completed all required training.
• Spend majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members to ensure exceptional service.
