Job summary

Cavender’s is seeking a Department Manager to join the Store Management Team. You will support Cavender’s culture, supervise associates, coach on sales techniques, and help drive department and store performance.

You will ensure the department is clean and organized, handle customer service, loss prevention, and lead training while maintaining company standards and policies. The role requires strong English reading and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to sell product and manage a retail department.
• Proven ability to drive results, develop talent, excel in customer service and exercise sound decision making.

Responsibilities

• Support Cavender’s Culture and drive Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Lead training and coaching of store associates on sales techniques and product knowledge.
• Act as Manager on Duty as assigned and assist in day-to-day store management.
• Open/close store, address customer complaints, and handle returns and exchanges.
• Increase sales while maintaining profit structure and reducing expenses.
• Monitor department performance and ensure adherence to policies and standards.
• Maintain a clean, well-presented store and ensure associates’ appearance meets company standards.
• Contribute to safe, secure store environment and participate in Loss Prevention.
