Job summary

Rural King Farm and Home Store is seeking a Department Lead to drive efficient department operations, manage inventory, pricing, and merchandising while delivering excellent customer service. The role requires adaptability, teamwork, and a proactive approach to learning and safety standards.

You will oversee signing, stock counts, price changes, and planogram adherence, with responsibilities also including front-end support and cross-training across departments.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work varied hours including nights and weekends.
• Ability to manage inventory and planograms.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide to maintain consistent department and signing standards and appealing displays that are consistent with company expectations.
• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts, scanning your outs, reconciling discrepancies, and replenishing department inventory.
• Oversee the recovery process to keep the department neat, organized, and visually appealing.
• Coordinate and execute price changes accurately and efficiently, updating pricing labels and signage as required.
• Manage the implementations of playbook features and planogram sets per company guidelines and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety protocols to create a pleasant shopping environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service using the engagement model to assist customers and address concerns.
• Support front end by processing transactions or loadouts as required.
• Operate handheld devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other retail equipment.
• Participate in cross-training for flexibility in various departments.
• Engage in training programs and webinars to stay current on developments.
