Rural King Farm and Home Store invites you to join our team as a Department Lead, playing a pivotal role in efficient department operations. You will supervise scanning, inventory, pricing changes, planogram execution, and maintain high standards for merchandising and safety.

You will deliver exceptional customer service, support front-end activities, and participate in cross-training to stay flexible across departments.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of retail experience with knowledge of department.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to listen, ask questions, and provide thorough responses.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
• Flexible mindset to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty.
• Strong problem-solving skills to address issues quickly.
• Remain composed in high-pressure situations while ensuring quality.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
• Comfort navigating computer systems to assist customers or manage tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Flexible hours: 40-hour week with varied shifts including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the indoor merchandising guide to maintain department displays and signing aligned with company standards.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels with regular stock counts and replenishment.
• Oversee the recovery process to keep the department neat, organized, and visually appealing.
• Coordinate and execute price changes accurately with updated labels and signage.
• Manage playbook feature implementations and planogram sets per company guidelines to maximize sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness within the department, enforcing safety protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service using the engagement model; assist with inquiries and product location.
• Support front-end operations by processing transactions or loadouts as required.
• Operate general office equipment (telephone, fax, calculator, computer) as needed.
• Operate handheld devices, forklifts, pallet jacks, ladders, and other retail equipment.
• Participate in cross-training to enable flexibility across departments.
• Engage in training programs and webinars to learn and grow with the company.
• Provide friendly, proactive internal and external support to colleagues and customers.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
