Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Alabama LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience in Center Point, Alabama. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and help keep the store clean and stocked.

The role requires strong customer service, organization, and communication skills, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks. This is a part-time, on-site position at 2020 Center Point Pkwy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle walking, standing, bending, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
