Hy-Vee’s Courtesy Clerk role in Iowa offers an active, customer‑facing position where you’ll greet shoppers, bag purchases, and assist customers to their cars. You’ll help keep the store clean, stocked, and welcoming while supporting coworkers across departments.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and complete tasks with limited variables.
• Ability to perform basic addition and subtraction, copy figures accurately and count.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and convey supply needs clearly.
• Works well in a team to keep the store clean and customers satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service by greeting customers and making each visit great.
• Package purchases and help customers transport items to their vehicle.
• Bring in carts, manage cart corrals, and keep parking areas tidy.
• Clean registers, restrooms, break rooms, and backrooms; sweep and mop as needed.
• Stock and rotate merchandise; understand shelf tags and product locations.
• Assist training of new courtesy clerks and support other departments as needed.
• Deliver products to customers and support in all areas within wage guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to Hy-Vee policies and dress standards.
• Report to work on time; maintain hygiene and professional appearance.
