Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Sumiton, AL is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate II to assist with daily store operations, merchandising, and customer support. The role includes front-end duties as needed and crossing training to handle the cash register efficiently.

You will contribute to a clean, welcoming environment and interact professionally with customers and team members. The position requires basic math skills and physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Proficiency in basic math for cash accounting is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and processing freight in a safe manner in accordance with productivity standards
• Merchandising and stocking as needed
• Assisting with cleanliness throughout the store, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable
• Ensuring a positive, safe, and respectful environment while maintaining professional and friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders
• Managing sales transactions while working assigned cash register
• Maintaining security of cash and protecting company assets
• Other duties as assigned*
