Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Griswold, CT is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the cash register, and help keep the store stocked and clean, ensuring safety and friendly interactions.

This part-time role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer service in retail or related fields. You will lift up to 50 lbs and work with a team to meet store goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive and stock merchandise; unload trucks per productivity standards.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with positive interactions.
• Keep the store clean, including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
