Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate in New Britain, CT to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help maintain store appearance and safety.

Responsibilities include stocking, unloading merchandise, and providing friendly, professional service while upholding company assets and policies. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with prior retail experience valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the assigned cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store, bathrooms, floors, and overall presentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
