Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate II to assist with daily store operations, including merchandising and customer support. The role involves cross-training to support cash registers and front-end duties as needed.

Responsibilities include receiving merchandise, stocking, cleaning, and ensuring a safe, welcoming shopping environment while maintaining accurate cash handling and professional interactions with customers and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks regularly.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Receive merchandise, unload trucks, and process freight safely per productivity standards.
• Merchandise and stock shelves as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness in the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash areas.
• Interact professionally with customers, associates, and leaders to ensure a positive environment.
• Process sales transactions at the cash register and protect cash assets.
• Maintain security of cash and company assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
