Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Maryland LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions, manage transactions, and help with stock replenishment at a busy neighborhood store.

You will maintain store cleanliness, protect assets, and provide friendly interactions with customers, associates, and leaders. This part-time role offers perks and opportunities within a nationwide retail network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and handle frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers, associates and leaders.
• Maintain cleanliness across the store, bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
