Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Maryland LLC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, and keep the store organized and stocked.

The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions, reliability, and physical ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred, with an emphasis on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking and standing.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working the assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, trash, and neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisors.
