Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Kentucky LP is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.

You will assist customers, handle sales at the register, keep the store stocked, unload shipments, and maintain a clean, safe environment while upholding company policies. This is a part-time store role located at Liberty Square Shop Center, Kentucky.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers, associates, and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors, and waste
• Other duties as assigned
