Family Dollar in Richmond, VA is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a friendly shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales transactions, and help with stocking and merchandise recovery.

Responsibilities include maintaining shop cleanliness, ensuring safety and respect in interactions, and supporting unloads and restocking with accuracy. Prior retail or service experience is preferred and the role offers flexible hours and promotional opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while operating the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and associates.
• Keep the store clean, restocked, and presentable, including bathrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
