Job summary

IKEA is seeking a Customer Relations Associate to help shoppers enjoy a seamless, friendly experience across in-store and returns interactions. You will greet customers, resolve questions, process purchases, and ensure data collected supports ongoing service improvements.

You will collaborate with team members to maintain a positive environment, build loyalty, and turn every interaction into a meaningful connection that reflects IKEA's values of accessibility and care for the many.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of customer service and/or sales experience in a retail environment preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Meets customers' needs, resolves problems independently, and escalates when necessary.
• Builds loyalty by ensuring a positive customer journey during the IKEA shopping experience.
• Builds emotional connections through empathetic customer interactions.
• Gives customers a smooth handout experience during Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO) and suggests services when appropriate.
• Handles returns smoothly while collecting data for follow-up.

What you'll be doing day to day

• Creates a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate transactions and/or orders. Records information accurately so the resulting analysis can be used to make improvements to customers' future shopping experience.
• Meets customers' needs, solves problems independently, and recognizes when to escape to a manager.
• Builds loyalty by ensuring a positive customer journey during the IKEA shopping experience.
• Builds emotional connections through meaningful and empathetic interactions with customers.
• Provides customers with a simple and efficient handout experience when scheduled in Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO). Offers and sells services to customers during the handover process when needed.
• Provides the customer with a simple and smooth returns and exchange experience, while collecting high-quality data for follow-up when scheduled in returns.
