Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and provide a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires reliability, good communication, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs. Prior retail or service experience is preferred. This is a part-time/full-time position with opportunities for growth and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness including bathrooms, floors, and trash.
• Other duties as assigned.
