Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a part-time Customer Service Associate to assist customers, operate the register, and help maintain a clean, stocked store environment. You will engage with customers, ensure accuracy in transactions, and support merchandise loading and replenishment while upholding safety and professionalism.

The role emphasizes strong communication, reliability, and the ability to perform physical tasks as needed in a retail setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail, hospitality, grocery, or similar customer-facing roles highly preferred.
• Ability to read and follow operational documents.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong customer service, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and restock merchandise as needed.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful store environment.
