Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to help shoppers with questions, process transactions at the register, and keep the store clean and stocked. You will assist with unloading trucks, restocking merchandise, and ensuring a safe, respectful shopping environment.

The role requires dependable, friendly communication, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and prior customer service experience in retail or related fields. This is a part-time in-store position at our Decatur, AL location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and waste disposal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
