Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Council Bluffs, IA seeks a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle transactions at the register, and keep the store clean and well-stocked.

You will receive merchandise, help unload trucks, and contribute to a positive, safe work environment while upholding company policies and respectful interactions with customers and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing and pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including restrooms and floors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
