Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our team and deliver a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help keep the store stocked and clean.

The role requires strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills, with responsibilities spanning cash handling, merchandise receipt, and maintaining a safe store environment. Part-time hours available at our Council Bluffs location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, including bathrooms, floors, trash, and presentation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
