Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide a friendly shopping experience for every customer. You will assist guests, handle transactions, and help maintain stock and cleanliness across the store.

You will contribute to a positive, efficient retail environment while adhering to safety standards and company policies. This part-time role offers exposure to diverse tasks and opportunities for customer-facing development in Iowa.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and stock replenishment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
