Job summary

G&M Oil Company Inc. is seeking a reliable store associate to join our team in California.

You will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions at the POS, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment for customers and employees. You will multitask across duties including stocking shelves, merchandising, food preparation as designated by the Store Manager, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work with little supervision.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• English communication proficiency.
• Open availability to work all shifts within district when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS and cash register accurately and accept payments.
• Perform sale transactions including credit cards and coupons per policy.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organize backroom supplies.
• Stock shelves and ensure fresh perishable products with proper rotation.
• Front face cooler, merchandising and cleaning duties per supervisor instructions.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with questions.
• Follow safety procedures and comply with city/state/federal regulations.
