Job summary

G&M Oil Company Inc. is seeking a customer-focused team member for a retail position at our California store. You will provide friendly, efficient service, operate the POS, and ensure accuracy of transactions while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities include handling cash and payments, following company policies, and assisting with food preparation and stocking. Must be able to work various shifts and uphold district standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills / competency in PDI Enterprise POS.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Food Handlers Permit, if required by store/county.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Open availability to work all shifts within district as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS (cash register and fuel console) accurately and handle money and payments.
• Execute sales transactions and promotions according to policy.
• Check IDs for alcohol, tobacco and lottery per policy.
• Maintain a neat appearance and wear uniform and name tag.
• Prepare hot food items and maintain condiment bar as directed by Store Manager.
• Keep store clean, restocked, and safe; monitor for spills and litter.
• Receive product deliveries and stock shelves; rotate per code dates.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in team-building activities.
