Job summary

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Excellent computer skills / competency in PDI Enterprise POS (evaluation required).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn simple tasks quickly and work with little or no supervision.
• Basic math skills.
• Food Handlers Permit, if required by store/county.
• Ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) in English.
• Have open availability to work all shifts as needed at home store and other stores within district when the need arises.

Responsibilities

• Operate POS (cash register and fuel console) precisely and accurately handle money and other types of payment received for product sold.
• Perform service transactions (credit card transactions, coupons, vendor check-in, alcohol, tobacco and lottery sales, fast food) per company policy.
• Check identifications for alcohol, tobacco and lottery products.
• Participate in all sales promotions and campaigns; perform suggestive selling and build customer relations.
• Review and adhere to city, county, state, and federal laws affecting store operations.
• Maintain a neat personal appearance and wear company uniform and name tag.
