Job summary

Family Dollar LLC in Bucksport, ME is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer.

You will assist customers with questions, process transactions at the register, keep the store stocked and clean, unload merchandise, and maintain a safe, courteous environment for customers and associates. Previous retail or service experience is preferred. The role requires lifting 30–50 lbs and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Process sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store including restrooms.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
