Job summary

Family Dollar LLC is hiring a Customer Service Associate to provide a great shopping experience. You will assist customers, process transactions, and help keep the store safe, clean, and stocked.

This role involves unloading merchandise, restocking, and maintaining a welcoming environment for customers and staff. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and prior retail or service experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, bending, etc.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
