Job summary

Michaels in Southington, CT is hiring a part-time/full-time team member to help customers find products and provide a quick, friendly checkout experience. You will enroll customers in rewards programs and assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes.

You’ll also stock, stage merchandise, and participate in planograms while upholding safety protocols and SOPs. The role involves standing long hours and occasional lifting. Benefits include discounts and more.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to remain standing for long periods and move around the store.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy boxes and reach high shelves.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS and SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs).
• Maintain well-merchandised and in-stock store; complete merchandise recovery and go-back process.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
• Interact professionally with customers and team members; promote the company vision and values.
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
