Job summary

Michaels Hart-Southington, CT is hiring a store team member to deliver friendly customer service and assist shoppers in finding products. You will manage checkouts, enroll customers in rewards, and support omni-channel processes such as BOPIS and SFS.

You will also help unload trucks, stock shelves, and ensure the store remains well-merchandised and in stock. Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Public retail store setting; climate controlled public areas.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on rewards programs and enrollments.
• Assist with Omni channel processes including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Store in stock optimization and store recovery duties; maintain in-stock condition.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
• Interact with customers in a respectful manner and model Michaels values.
