Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking a Customer Service Associate to join our store team in California. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage transactions at the register, and help with stocking, merchandising, and unloading shipments.

The role emphasizes friendly customer interactions, store cleanliness, and adherence to safety and security standards. Part-time position with opportunities to contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service, preferably in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environments.
• Able to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Physically capable of lifting 30–50 lbs and performing frequent walking, standing, and bending.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to friendly, professional interactions with customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain cash security and protect company assets.
• Stock replenishment and merchandise recovery.
• Receive merchandise and help unload trucks as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness, restrooms, floors and overall presentation.
• Provide a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and colleagues.
• Other duties as assigned.
