Job summary

Family Dollar Stores Of Pennsylvania LLC in Mifflintown is seeking a Customer Service Associate to deliver friendly help, answer questions, and guide customers. You will operate the cash register, stock shelves, unload shipments, and assist with replenishment while keeping the store clean and safe.

The role is part-time with opportunities to grow; the ideal candidate has strong communication and problem-solving skills and can lift up to 50 lbs while serving customers daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment is highly preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs from floor to above shoulder height and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills are required

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store well-stocked and recover merchandise
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks and replenishment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and presentable store environment
• Follow instructions and perform other duties as assigned
